Doctor Strange. Deadpool and Jessica Jones Casting Update!

by Ron Purtee

DOCTOR STRANGE

Let's start things off with a casting announcement that we already kinda saw coming. That's right, Benedict Cumberbatch has finally been confirmed to be playing the lead in Marvel's DOCTOR STRANGE, that is due out Nov. 4, 2016.

“Stephen Strange’s story requires an actor capable of great depth and sincerity,” said Producer Kevin Feige. “In 2016, Benedict will show audiences what makes Doctor Strange such a unique and compelling character.”

DEADPOOL

It would appear that Ryan Reynolds is finally going to be playing the "Merc with a Mouth" the right way, if his twitter feed is to be believed. The actor tweeted a picture of DEADPOOL made of bullet casings with the caption, "Uh... It's Chimichanga Time."

Insider talk is that all that is missing is Reynolds' signature. DEADPOOL will be falling under the X-Men franchise at FOX and is set to start shooting in March for a February 12, 2016 release.

JESSICA JONES

Krysten Ritter, one of the finalists for the role, has signed on to play Jessica Jones in the 13 episode series. Daredevil kicks off the 4 shows on Netflix this spring and its a safe bet that we will see Jessica show up at some point to introduce folks to the character.

24th Bond Title Revealed

by Ron Purtee

The title of the 24th Bond film was revealed by director Sam Mendes at a launch event at Pinewood Studios, the same place that principal photography will begin on Monday.

SPECTRE is due in cinemas in October of 2015.

Daniel Craig will be returning as Bond for the 4th time and other cast members were also announced. They include Sherlock's Andrew Scott, as a character called Denbigh, and Guardians of the Galaxy actor Dave Bautista, playing a henchman called Mr Hinx.

Monica Bellucci and Lea Seydoux have been unveiled as the new 'Bond girls', named Lucia Sciarra and Madeleine Swann.
Christoph Waltz will have a role in the film, playing a character called Oberhauser.
The name of the character is the same as that of Bond's former ski instructor, though it has been rumoured Waltz will really be playing Bond's old nemesis Ernst Stavro Blofeld.
Spectre - Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion - was the name of an international crime syndicate, whose 'Number One' was Blofeld himself.
The organisation featured in the Bond films of the 1960s and was part of a legal battle with a rival film producer that was recently resolved after many years.

Suicide Squad Cast Revealed!

by Ron Purtee

Hey kids.

It would appear that WB has released the cast list for its upcoming SUICIDE SQUAD movie. I'm gonna hold off on anything until I let you great folks know who the cast is. Let's see, shall we?

Jared Leto – The Joker
Will Smith – Deadshot
Tom Hardy – Rick Flagg
Margot Robbie – Harley Quinn
Jai Courtney – Boomerang
Cara Delevingne – Enchantress
From what I am to understand they are looking for their Amanda Waller. For those who don't know, Amanda Waller is the person who is kind of the Charlie to their Angels.  What is shocking to me is that one of the front runners for that part is Oprah Winfrey. Yes, that Oprah*. Still trying to wrap head around that.
The Suicide Squad is due out August 5, 2016.

*Editor's note: Our humble opinion piece will be proven fact should Oprah be involved in this movie

Mother Died Special Edition from Bloody Cuts!

by Ron Purtee

There is really nothing better than independent films. The filmmakers are a lot more free to do what they feel needs to happen in order to make their vision come to light.

One of the premiere production companies for indie short form horror as of late has been BloodyCuts out of the UK. While they have seemingly run their course, they still have some tricks up their sleeve, namely with this remastered edition of MOTHER DIED.

I won't go into the plot, its best going into their films completely blind. So without further ado, I give you the special edition of MOTHER DIED.

When Breaking Bad ended it left a whole in the fabric of television that no other show is going to be able to fill. But then the rumors of a spin off started circulating and I'll never honest I never thought it was going to happen. I thought it was just that, rumors. Sweet, delicious rumors.

I am so glad I was wrong.

AMC released a new sneak peek of their new series, BETTER CALL SAUL. A prequel to the immensely popular Breaking Bad, that shows us a very familiar face. Watch it below:
