Fans of the Trailer Park Boys have something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, yes it's a new Christmas special....wait, what?
Trailer Park Boys: Live from the North Pole is a new live special that takes the boys from their home in Sunnyvale Trailer Park all the way to Minneapolis, with Lahey firmly in tow.
The last time a "live" special came to Netflix featuring the Boys, it was Live in Dublin and most of the things that happened, ended up being the basis for an episode in season 8 of the popular TV series. And while I love the Boys, that special just wasn't all that funny.
However, Live from the North Pole is a completely different animal. Bubbles is after the Christmas Spirit, Julian is after money and Ricky wants to smooth things over with Santa Jesus God after a physical altercation between the two of them the previous year.
I think the addition of Jim Lahey to the mix really added some conflict within the structure of the performance and made it a lot more enjoyable. Any time that Lahey goes up against the Boys, its always a good time.
So if you are a fan of Trailer Park Boys and a fan of their previous Christmas special, give "Live from the North Pole" a shot!
